Why Moissanite over Diamonds
Moissanite is silicon carbide, first discovered by Nobel laureate Henri Moissan in 1893 in fragments of a meteorite. Natural moissanite is so rare that every stone we set is lab-created — giving you a gem that is optically more brilliant than a diamond, with none of the mining.
Beyond the sparkle, mined diamonds carry hidden costs: scarred landscapes, a history of financing conflict, and retail markups few owners ever recoup. So ask yourself: what about that says luxury?
The real cost of a mined diamond| Property | Moissanite | Diamond |
|---|---|---|
| Brilliance (refractive index) | 2.65 – 2.69 | 2.42 |
| Fire (dispersion) | 0.104 — more than twice a diamond’s | 0.044 |
| Hardness (Mohs scale) | 9.25 — second only to diamond | 10 |
| Origin | Lab-created; no mining required | Usually mined (lab-grown also exists) |
| Everyday durability | Excellent; resists scratching & chipping | Excellent |
| Price for a comparable look | A fraction of the cost | Significantly higher |

The same surgical-grade alloy trusted in medical and marine settings, polished to a mirror finish. It holds its shine without plating that wears away.
316L is well tolerated by most people with sensitive skin.
No turning green, no polishing cloths. Water won’t dull it.
Stronger and more scratch-resistant than sterling silver.
Luxury finish without precious-metal markups.
